Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 'Les Suchots' Bouchard Philippe 2022

The Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru ‘Les Suchots’ by Philippe Bouchard is the most prestigious wine in the range, from a famous climat of the Côte de Nuits. After maceration on the skins, which occurs at around 30°C to allow for greater extractions, it ages for over a year in barrel, with a small part in first-pass wood, as per Burgundian tradition. On the nose, it is deep, with a side of black fruit, floral notes, sweet spices, and a hint of underbrush. On the palate, it is wide and velvety, with a dense texture, very fine tannins, and vibrant freshness, closed by an extremely long finish, ideal with a crusted fillet or noble game.
