The Gewurztraminer Classic Hugel is one of the flagship labels of the winery. After vinification and aging in wood, it shows a light straw yellow color with pistachio reflections. On the nose, it expresses the exuberant aromatic profile of the grape variety, accompanied by floral notes and intense spice notes. The palate develops with balance and incursions of mango and ginger, with a long final persistence.

The Gewurztraminer “Classic” Hugel is part of the line of wines from the Alsatian winery, made by emphasizing the fragrance and freshness of the varietal character of the grape. It is a wine that focuses on expressive purity and immediate drinkability. It is a Gewurztraminer with good aromatic intensity, which offers the classic aromas of this aromatic grape of Central European origin. The delicate vinification in wood preserves the floral and fruity profile of the wine, enriching its softness and aromatic complexity.

The Gewurztraminer “Classic” by Hugel is distinguished by a particularly refined and elegant interpretation of this aromatic grape, born from a spontaneous genetic mutation of the Traminer or Savagnin grape. The Hugel winery manages an estate of about 30 hectares, divided into many plots located in the Riquewihr area. The mild and sunny climate, characterized by good temperature variations and very suitable soils, creates an ideal habitat for viticulture, particularly for the white grape varieties.white berry. Gewurztraminer is mainly grown on soils composed predominantly of clay, near the village of Riquewihr, south of Colmar. Manual harvests and the careful selection of the best bunches allow for the creation of high-quality wines that can express the best characteristics of the territory.

The white Gewurztraminer "Classic" from the Alsatian winery Hugel is one of the most typical wines of the area. At the end of the harvest operations, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments, partly in steel and partly in wood, at a controlled temperature of 22-24°C. The wine rests for a few months and is bottled in the following spring, after a light filtration. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color with bright greenish reflections. The aromatic profile is rich and exuberant, with scents of white flowers, aromas of lychee, passion fruit, citrus peel, and notes of soft oriental spices. The taste is broad and intense, with an aromatic and smooth mid-palate. The finish is harmonious, with a fresh and balanced finish.
