The Rosé by Bonavità is born from a blend of Sicilian grapes: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Nocera. Briefly matured in steel, it reveals all the straightforward and fruity fragrance in a delicate, satisfying, and slender sip, tinged with aromas of small red fruits, Mediterranean herbs, and floral essences.

The Rosato Bonavita is the gem of Giovanni Scarfone, and absolutely one of the best and most exciting Italian rosés. Too often lately, artisanal wine is thought of as a trend, made of colorful labels and appealing designs, forgetting that what really matters is the work in the vineyard and the knowledge of one’s territory and what populates it. Giovanni Scarfone, a winemaker in Faro Superiore in the province of Messina, best represents this type of idea and agricultural culture, made of few proclamations and much observation, which has led him to achieve extraordinary results that have become a must for all enthusiasts. His liquids obtained from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio are a summary of vitality and finesse, perfectly completed and defined expressions of the land. The limited production and high demand make it a wine to grab as soon as possible, and to stock up on.

The Bonavita Rosato is obtained from a blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Nocera, with grapes coming from vineyards aged between 10 and 80 years located in the villages of Faro Superiore and Curcuraci in the province of Messina. In the vineyard no chemical substances or synthetic products are used, and in the winery, the same respect for the fruit is maintained, carrying out spontaneous alcoholic fermentations and brief maceration on the skins. The liquid ages for six months in steel.

The Rosato Bonavita presents itself in the glass with an intense and luminous cerasuolo color. A splendid and captivating nose for vitality and definition, which encapsulates the essence of the island with salty breezes and wild herbs, along with a lymphatic part and crunchy red fruit. The sip is a perfect blend of pulp and juiciness, supported by freshness and an impressive saline texture. A splendid sea rosé, among the best in its category.
