The Etna Bianco 'Anthemis' Monteleone is a white wine made from Carricante aged for 12 months in French oak tonneaux on fine lees. On the nose, it expresses citrus notes, white flowers, and distinctive iodine nuances typical of Etna wines. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, with a long and flavorful finish. It pairs well with fish and shellfish dishes.

The Sicilian reality Monteleone introduces the Etna Bianco 'Anthemis', a pure Carricante that impresses with its vibrant mineral soul, a child of the volcanic soil where the vines grow and the salty breezes coming from the Ionian Sea. This label, produced for the first time ever with the 2018 vintage, comes from grapes cultivated within the municipality of Sant'Alfio, on the eastern slope of Etna. Compared to other areas of the volcano, the wines from the eastern slope are characterized by their marine character and exceptional refinement, as well as their great longevity. This is a slope with a strong white wine vocation, where Carricante finds an ideal environment thanks to the cooler, rainier, and windier climate.

'Anthemis' Monteleone Etna Bianco originates from only Carricante grapes grown on soils made up of volcanic sands, particularly rich in mineral elements, located at an altitude between 700 and 900 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting, the bunches undergo a gentle pressing, with the mustobtained that is left to decant for 48 hours. After this short period, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging for 12 months in French oak tonneau on the fine lees.

In the glass, the Etna Bianco 'Anthemis' from the Monteleone winery flaunts a straw-yellow hue with brilliant golden reflections. The complex and seductive olfactory panorama is described by aromas of citrus and white flowers that embrace toasted hints and nuances of spices, all completed by characteristic marine mineral puffs. The progression on the palate is vibrant thanks to the marked freshness and incisive savory-mineral imprint, with a slender and very persistent finish that does not leave one indifferent
