Cascina Ardita’s Chianti Classico is a high-altitude Sangiovese that showcases the great expressiveness of Chianti Classico. The winery favours stainless steel for fermentation, so as to bring out the fruit’s fragrance to the full. It matures in oak barrels before its final ageing in the bottle. Aromas of iris and violet open the nose, which then settles on notes of herbs and red wild berries. On the palate, it is fresh and savoury, with very fine-grained tannins.
