The Brunello di Montalcino by Caparzo is one of the iconic red wines of the Tuscan area for 50 years: robust and strongly territorial. Aged in large barrels for at least 3 years, it presents an intense ruby red tending towards garnet, accompanied by a penetrating bouquet of ripe cherry, earthy sensations, and hints of mint and tobacco. The sip is full and has a vibrant structure, with sweet tannins and long persistence.

The Brunello di Montalcino by Caparzo is an intense and elegant red, with a long history behind it. Bottled for the first time in 1970, it still represents today the symbolic label of a historic winery in the area. It is the Brunello that best represents the style of the winery, a true synthesis of the estate. Caparzo is one of the few wineries in Montalcino that has vineyards located on various slopes of the hill, with different exposures, altitudes, and soils. This richness allows for the selection and blending of the best wines, to create each year a Brunello with a harmonious and balanced profile, regardless of the climatic conditions of the vintage.

The Brunello di Montalcino is the result of the work of a historic winery in the area, which was already producing wine in Montalcino forty years ago. Caparzo manages a beautiful estate of about 90 hectares, predominantly planted with Sangiovese Grosso, set in an environmental context of wild and unspoiled nature. The Brunello comes from a selection of grapes from four different parcels, located in different areas for microclimate and soil composition.soils. The vineyards are cultivated in the northern area in the Caparzo locality; southwest in the La Caduta vineyard; in the Il Cassero locality to the south and finally in San Pietro on the eastern slope of the hill. At the end of the manual harvest, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 28-30 °C, with maceration on the skins for about ten days. The wine matures for at least 36 months in large barrels and completes the aging with 6 months in bottle.

The Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino represents a beautiful version of one of the most prestigious reds of Tuscany. In appearance, it presents a ruby red color with garnet reflections. Elegant and refined, it expresses aromas of cherry, marasca, small forest fruits, floral nuances, light spicy notes, and wild aromatic herbs. On the palate, it has a good structure, with intense, complex aromas, supported by a dense and mature tannic texture. The sip has a clear expressive tension and unfolds harmoniously towards a fresh, balsamic, and balanced finish, with good taste persistence. It is a classic version, ideal for getting to know the traditional face of this great wine.
