This Barolo “Sorì Ginestra” is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, grown right within the cru that gives the label its name. The vines, aged between 30 and 45 years, grow in a terroir facing south, composed of a subsoil where, alongside a significant percentage of silt, we also find clay and sand. The grapes, grown organically and manually selected during the harvest by the Conterno Fantino team, ferment and macerate in contact with the skins in horizontal steel fermenters, for 8-15 days. The aging phase then proceeds, initially carried out for 24 months in barrique and then, after bottling, for another 12 months directly in glass.
The “Sorì Ginestra” is a Barolo that, in the glass, develops a very deep garnet color. The range of aromas that outlines the olfactory profile of this label moves on sensations of wilted flowers, enriched by notes of fruit and distant hints of spices. On the palate, it has excellent body, is significant, with a refined sip that flows impeccably across the palate thanks to a perfectly crafted tannin. A truly great red wine from Piemonte, with which the Conterno Fantino winery ranks at the top of the entire denomination.
