Barolo "Cerretta" is a very intense and strong Piedmontese red wine, aged 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels. The nose is complex and fascinating, giving hints of red fruit, spice, licorice and minerals. The taste is full and fleshy, clean, with great body and structure and beautiful tannins

The Barolo "Cerretta" by Schiavenza takes its name from the homonymous Cru, one of the largest on the Serralunga d'Alba hill, known as Bricco Cerretta. The winery, founded in 1956 by brothers Vittorio and Ugo, boasts over half a century of historical and deep-rooted presence in the Langa territory. A family capable of telling through their labels, the value and prestige of the terroir, combined with a know-how honed with wisdom over time.

The "Cerretta" is the Barolo from the Schiavenza winery produced from a single vineyard that extends over clayey, loamy, and slightly calcareous soils at about 390 meters above sea level with a southeast exposure. The harvest, carried out strictly by hand between mid and late October, allows for the collection of healthy and ripe bunches, ready to be sent for alcoholic fermentation, in stainless steel containers for a period ranging from 15 to 20 days. Vinification takes place in a traditional manner: once fermentation is complete, aging begins in large Slavonian oak barrels for at least 36 months.

The Barolo "Cerretta" by Schiavenza is characterized by a bright and vibrant garnet red color. Swirling the glass releases aromas of violet and underbrush enriched by elegant hints of spices, such as pepper and licorice. On the palate, it expresses, due to its structure and richness, all the power one expects from a great Barolo. The entry is imposing, with a broad and austere sip, balanced tannins, and a long, persistent finish. As is customary, it pairs perfectly with dishes based on red meats, such as pork cheek and roasts, with porcini mushroom risottos, and with dishes elevated by the local white truffle from Alba. Great fullness and excellent body, for this King of Piedmont reds, destined to age nobly over time, but ready to express its pulsating soul right away.
